Landscape Function Analysis (LFA)

LFA is a method developed by the CSIRO to measure landscape stability and ecosystem function and is used for monitoring mine site rehabilitation. LFA monitoring has a proven record for adequately assessing rehabilitation to DMP standards.

Botanica Consulting has over 10 years’ experience conducting LFA monitoring on mine sites throughout Western Australia. Our experienced team have attended training courses held by David Tongway, whom developed the technique, and are competent to assess waste landform amelioration through LFA indicators.
